Beautiful app

Im the type of people who read random Wikipedia articles for fun. This is a beautiful app for me on the go. Five stars!

Probably should have left it alone

Sorry developers, I think this was a case of should have left well enough alone. One of Wikipedias gifts seemed to be the ability to flip through random articles until you got to one that interested you. Now not only is that left to the very bottom of the page but its buried below more and more of recommendations based on prior articles left and what seems to be an ever expanding list of articles of the day. Its note to be able to remove suggestions I guess, but I feel like one should have to be forced to do that. Appreciate the drive to keep things new and all, but this one didnt work for me. After a little more use it seems like the articles and photos from each day since I installed the app are going to keep stacking up. With the random article at the bottom. Again, that being a feature I like about the website, it seems even more that this rewrite doesnt work. I dont want to but Im sure that this one is going to be deleted from my phone quite soon. A real shame, it had potential.

Category support please

Love Wikipedia, natch, but this app should show categories. They are key to navigating. Its also slower than just using a web page in a browser.

The recent updates absolutely make this app awesome

I originally downloaded and attempted to use this app and a lot of its look-alikes on many occasions, and I will say that I did not like this app at first. However, after their recent updates, it is as if someone just gave me a new Christmas present or something. I love this app and I am using it all the time. Thank you Wikipedia! Keep adding cool new homepages and recommending cool articles as well! 你們繼續給我中文,英文, 西班牙語,和法語。謝謝!

iOS 9.3.1 hanging

I love Wikipedia, but this version is hanging up badly with iOS 9.3.1. Dont know if its Wiki or iOS.

Wikipedia now gets it!

Update: Finally a mobile app worthy of Wikipedia. This app is easy to navigate with swipe left to go back functionality. I especially love the deep linking support. This apps management of screen real estate needs improvement. There is no reason to maintain a fixed header and footer when I am swiping through an article. The footer should disappear and the header should disappear or become minimized. Why does this app not support basic iOS features like swipe left to go back or provide the ability to search for text within a page. Even third party apps like Wikiwand and Wikipanion support these features. The app makers say they are listening, but I sincerely doubt it.

No support in traditional Chinese

In this app, you can only see simplified Chinese in language selection and there is no way to choose traditional one. Please remember that there are 30 million people from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Easy to use

No problem to navigate and read articles. I do wish I could edit articles from the app, but that would distract from its primary purpose.

Great

I love it. Its free. Instead of complaining about it. Support it!

Great app!!

This is a great little app. I use every single day, many times a day. If I could give it more than five stars I would its a great app.

Plain stupid

Why am I forced upon a language I dont even speak in my feed?

App crashes every time I search for Tesseract

Not sure why but every time I try to load the article on tesseracts the app freezes and then re-freezes after I swipe it out of memory and reopen, since it starts loading the article again. No choice but to delete and reinstall and just never look at that article. I guess the app couldnt handle the fourth dimension!!

Great mobile resource

Works well, its very quick and definitely more useful than the browser version.

Opens inappropriately

I cant edit pages in Safari because it forces links to redirect to the app.

Use Safari

Well designed but browsing in this is a pain. I thought having Wikipedia on mobile would be more convenient but its so slow and the front page takes forever to load

Font? Fontsize!?!? Not "English" -Text Size please!!!

Pretty upsetting. As its a free resource for mankind I cant "one star" it but its clearly a font size reading headache.

They keep making it worst

Constant crashing. Horrible.. Shame it worked fine before the last update. They have to keep meddling with it..

How can an app dedicated to reading not have adjustable font sizes?

Seriously? Night mode would also be appreciated.
